The next generation?

Im not one to usually post work other than my own but this one caught my eye as a definite wake up call. How can anyone believe that this is a good idea? I am speachless but my good friend scotty is not so i'll let you read his words cause they are better than mine. I hope you can read between the lines on this one cause its filled with scathing sarcasm.

oldies but goodies

Its been a minute since I posted but there's been a bunch of work and hopefully lots more shooting on the horizon. Here are two images that i shot around a year ago that never really got to see the light of day (other than the inside of my file folder). This is derek epp (watch out sask) and hippie rob showing me around a bit of surrey's sights. I had a good time shooting with these guys and hope to show more from at least rob in the near future. MTC....
Derek, come home so we can shoot again :(

skate club reppin hard!!

Went to 33rd and willow the other day to meet up with Dean Dahl and the skatelife skate club crew to shoot some photos. The action was ferocious and I was all over the place trying to get shots from a few different angles. The results were that a bunch of sick tricks went down and a bunch of close calls happened, but all in all I was really impressed with these guys and how sick they are. Keep killing it guys and I hope you enjoy the shots!! Oh and a few of you need to go back there with me (or somewhere else if you like).

a little spot we found and a little crook pop over

Just thought id throw up a little more that ive been shooting. Here's my friend dave jonsson doin a little crook pop over. It wasn't a make so we gotta go back. But from how close it was to a land i don't think it'll be to long before we get this one in the bag.

I shot this one with three lights. f8 at the main (umbrellaed alien bee above camera) and at least 2 stops over with the rim (behind rider on the ground). The other as you can see is being spilt up his arms and on to his face (a little much but ive got an answer for that one next time).

lee-side with josh ross

Got a chance to shoot with josh ross yesterday and we had an awesome time pushing each other. Josh and I banged off a few shots on this sweet quarter. Here's one of a few that I really like.
More to come!

skaters are flakes here's some fashion (j/k)

So I haven't had a chance to update lately cause of my inability to get out and get some skate shots. Buuuuut a couple weeks ago I had a chance to shoot a project for the publishing department in school here. It was a fun shoot that was a very basic setup but the model was great and the images really turned out well. We set up some black cards with silk organza in front of the model and cross lit the background to blow it out (make it as white as possible). The lighting in front was a single strip softbox. Also I set the color balance for tungsten for a certain look the we were looking for. Let me know what you all think.........
